Introduction and ISS assembly description

One cannot understand the architecture of the International Space Station 1 (ISS), unless you recognize the many reasons the International Partners are involved, putting their people, hardware, and experiments in space. The following will provide many perspectives; from the owners, the builders, the operators, and the users of the International Space Station. Although this plenary panel represents a broad range of involvement in the program, it is only the "tip of the iceberg". We stand on shoulders of men and women around the world who pursue excellence in the experiences of human space flight.
