NXP's NFC Expands Role of Devices to Various Applications

Near field communication (NFC) technology is a standard for short-range wireless communications. It is suitable for transmitting digital information of about several hundred kilobits a second within a range of 0 to 10cm. At the COMPUTEX Taipei Innovation Forum 2011, Bob Jiang, Sr. Business Development Manager for Greater China at NXP Semiconductors, discussed on the ways how NFC evolved to meet the demands of a connected society. Simply put, Jiang said NFC is a new way for easy, short distance, and quick communication.
