Philippines Investment Arm Eyes Post-COVID Upturn

The dreaded novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has brought the Philippines' economy to its lowest level since 1981, contracting 16.5 percent in Q2 of this year. To help revive the economy, the country is set to introduce a Php1.3 trillion (US$26.75 billion) stimulus package that aims to generate 1.5 million jobs and assist businesses, among others, over the next three years.
