The 2008 ARMY Green Book Weapons and Equipment Directory continues its own transformation to provide a glimpse at some representative systems supporting today's warfighters.rnPortions of this year's directory have been reorganized to reflect Program Executive Office structures more accurately. In addition, the FCS section continues to be expanded. This directory has attempted to balance both existing and emerging systems to provide readers with a broad appreciation of warfighter systems' capabilities. Some programs are emerging and evolving too quickly for incorporation in this directory. The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program, for example, is still in source selection as these pages go to press. Other new program listings will have to wait until next year because of the exigencies of current Army operational tempos.rnThe 2008 Weapons Directory remains a work in progress. Comments and suggestions regarding the ongoing transformation of these reference pages are always appreciated.
