Flesh-and-blood soldiers equipped and ready to fight on tomorrow's battlefields are the main Army focus amid the rise of robots and artificial intelligence. From next-generation rifles to leap-ahead night-vision technology, several projects aim to give the fight- ing force an edge in what promises to be a faster, more lethal and chaotic operating environment. Soldiers will operate in 'congested, contested and denied environments' in the future, said Maj. Gen. Anthony Potts, who leads Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier, the organization tasked with delivering capabilities to soldiers.
