This volume is the second part of the extremely valuable survey of Lincolnshire parish clergy being published by Lincoln Record Society, and covering the 46 parishes in the deaneries of Beltisloe and Bolingbroke, the first made up of 21 parishes centred on Cottisloe and the second focused around Spilsby. It is an ambitious volume beginning with clergy from 1214, the date at which the earliest episcopal registers for Lincoln (and in fact for the country) survive, up to the Pastoral Measure of 1968 which changed the structure of patronage and clerical appointment. Like its predecessor the volume is arranged alphabetically by parish within each deanery, with incumbents then listed chronologically. Each parish also has a short history of the church and of its patronage.
