OBITUARY: ALAN KUCIA (14 JUNE 1958-30 NOVEMBER 2018)

Alan was a well-known figure in the university archive sector, where he spent most of his working life. He will be best known for his time at Churchill College, Cambridge, where he was employed from 1981 to 1983, prior to him undertaking his formal training on the Liverpool Masters Degree Archives Administration Course from 1983 to 1984, and again from 1991 to 2000 when he returned as senior archivist. In between he was archivist to Trinity College, Cambridge. From 2000 he spent over four years at King's College London. This was followed by spells at Duxford RAF Museum, The Tower Project Cambridge University, and finally the British Antarctic Survey. He turned 60 last June and was very much looking forward to retirement. Sadly he died in his sleep in November having had a heart attack.
