Dagmai Richter, principal of DRD, will become chair of Cornell's Department of Architecture, effective July l. Previously, she was a professor in UCLA's Department of Architecture and Urban Design, where she had taught since 1989. Richter has also held teaching positions at Harvard's GSD, the Rhode Island School of Design, the Cooper Union, and Columbia University. Evan Douglis, principal of Evan Doughs Studio, will become dean of Rensselaer's School of Architecture, effective Aug. 1. Previously, he was chair of the undergraduate department at Pratt Institute's School of Architecture. Before that, Douglis was an assistant associate professor at Columbia University. In 2008, he was awarded a distinguished professorship by the City College of New York.
