Wang shu of the People's Republic of China is the 2012 Pritzker Prize laureate. With the $100,000 award and bronze medal, the 49-year-old Shu takes his place among such architectural luminaries as Frank Gehry, FAIA (1989), and Zaha Hadid, Hon. FAIA (2004). Shu received architectural degrees from the Nanjing Institute of Technology in 1985 and 1988.
