As architects gathered in Chicago for this year's AIA Convention, Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced that the city would hold the inaugural Chicago Architecture Biennial in October 2015. Sarah Herda, director of the local Graham Foundation, and Joseph Grima, former editor of Domus, will curate the first exhibition, with promises to deliver the largest contemporary architecture show in the history of the United States.
