House Juliaan Lampens - Aan Hove

In 1960 Juliaan Lampens built his own house in Eke, on a plot nobody else was interested in because it had a former clay pit right in the middle. Next to the pond he designed a house that approximated his idea of a home and that he hoped would attract potential clients. The house is situated under the street level. As one approaches it, it looks closed in and for that reason it will tend to remain unnoticed. At the rear, the house is concealed from view by shrubs and poplars.
