Rafael Moneo (Moneo): I think this question ought to be answered in a twofold way. Spain is moving away from a very local way of thinking about architecture: simple translation of surroundings and landscape and keeping with low-profile technology, an architecture that could be labeled as very realistic. The use of technology was very effective and oriented in the right direction in terms of the social concerns.
