It was a difficult task from the start: Take an 1880s meat-packing plant and transform it into a trendy New York Italian restaurant, Vento Trattoria. The space was a unique triangular shape in dire need of total reconstruction. B.R. Guest Company, famous for creating many of New York's hippest eateries, tapped architect Hall Hanson.
