Le Corbusier moved effortlessly among different scales. In apparently the same breath in India he designed the High Court and Secretariat at Chandigarh (1968), the Villa Sarabhai at Ahmedabad (1955), and a good deal of the furniture and fittings that went into them. The government buildings were part of a much larger urban design for the capital of the Punjab.
