Mike Aling is Design Co-ordinator of the Diploma in Architecture programme at the University of Greenwich, where he co-runs Diploma Unit 15, a graduate design unit specialising in the use of film and animation to propose architectural concepts and interventions. His research interests include the utilisation of film and animation (theory and production) in architectural education and practice, open-source software communities, and the socio-political implications and opportunities afforded by the use of advanced technologies in architectural design.
