摘要

Mexico has a great tradition of craft and its artisans have a deep understanding of space, light and material. Stone, wood and masonry have historically been the key material elements of this language, and skilled artisans are able to create almost anything from them. In addition to this, a sophisticated knowledge of structural engineering has developed as a result of Mexico's unique and difficult soil conditions. For Fernando Romero EnterprisE (FREE), the challenge lies not solely in the craft of building or the engineering of a project, but in the creation of a culture of collaboration. How can architects organise and communicate design information to allow for new possibilities of building form?
