Climate Change and the Bottom Line

A work of architecture impacts the lives of many people over multiple generations. This is perhaps the essence of both architecture's power and its responsibility. An architect's individual awareness of collective responsibility should be a driver of industry-wide collective change and innovation. Human-induced climate change will eventually bring a laser focus on sustainable and resilient building design and construction. It is our choice as to whether this focus is a proactive one now or a reactive one in the future.
