At The International Law Association's Seventy-third Biennial Conference in Rio de Janeiro in 2008, the ILA International Commercial Arbitration Committee reported on Ascertaining the Contents of the Applicable Law in International Commercial Arbitration' and the Conference adopted a number of recommendations on these topics.
