Scarcely any other field of construction work is so liable to constant innovation as the upkeep and maintenance of sewers. New remediation processes and process modifications together with the large number of aspects and contingencies that must be taken into consideration make remediation planning a complex field of ac- tivity. Two new approaches are described which are aimed at supporting planning engineers: decision making aid and multi-media information systems.
