Cylindrical concentrator with Quasiparabolic directrix

A cylindrical concentrator directrix that provides uniform energy distribution over the back (in the direction of solar ray travel) side of the receiving surface that is normal to the solar radiation has been investigated. The values of the focal parameters of the parabolas forming the directrix are determined. The parametric equations of the curve along which the parabolic foci move are obtained. The configurations of the directrix branches are considered and evaluated. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
