摘要

The bulk metastable Fe_(83)B_(17) eutectic alloy has been successfully prepared using hypercooling solidification. The bulk alloy consists of α-Fe and metastable Fe_3B phases, without the stable Fe_2B phase. Upon isothermal annealing, decomposition of the metastable Fe_3B phase (prepared by hypercooling) was investigated, as compared to the corresponding behaviour from amorphous Fe-B alloy.
