摘要

We have investigated the magnetization structure and magnetization curves of individual rectangular-ity shaped permalloy particles using scanning X-ray microscopy in the ultrasoft X-ray regime. Magnetic contrast originates from X-ray magnetic circular dichroism and from the transverse magnetooptical Kerr effect. We studied magnetization curves in dependence on the field direction for particles of different shapes and sizes. Adjacent particles cause a significant dipole interaction. Asymmetric magnetization loops indicate the presence of non-linear magnetooptical effects.
