Multi-functional colored coating of BaMgAl₁₀O₁₇:Eu phosphors with cobalt-doped Al₂O₃ thin films

摘要

BaMgAl₁₀O₁₇:Eu2+ (BAM) phosphor was encapsulated with a cobalt-doped Al₂O₃ colored layer by the sol-gel process. The coating layer was controlled to result in a thin continuous film several nanometers thick. Introduction of cobalt added coloration to the layer. This coating provided multi-effects such as enhanced durability, improved emission color, and reduced reflectance. These changes will result in improved longevity, wider color gamut and higher ambient contrast ratio of display devices.
