摘要

Vortical characteristics of mixing with existence of large scale streamwise vortices induced by a rectangular lobed mixer in supersonic flow are investigated experimentally. The nanoparticle-based planar laser scattering method and particle image velocimetry are employed. The generation and development of the large scale streamwise vortices, Kelvin-Helmholz vortices and the accompanied breakup of the vortices are presented. The orderly distributed vortex clusters generated from the collapsed streamwise vortices indicate that the effect of primary K-H instability on the motion of the streamwise vortices is significant.
