We had studied the advanced satellite broadcasting system using 21GHz frequency band by the Communications and Broadcasting Engineering Test Satellite (COMETS) of Japan. The developed SBE Transponder was the high-power (200W) and wideband (120MHz). This paper presents and evaluates The results of 21GHz band advanced satellite broadcasting experiments of the payload performances Such as input-output characteristics, amplitude-frequency characteristics, group delay-frequency charac- teristics and the AM/AM and AM/PM effects due to TWTA nonlinearity on SBE transponder.
