While RF and microwave engineers are not on the endangered species list, they are presently a scarce resource! The intense growth in wireless communications has dramatically increased demand, while equal growth in computing and and other digital technologies pulls educational and career attention away from this specialty. The pool of RF/microwave engineers is not growing fast enough. Like any other resource, if you don't have enough of it, conservation methods are required. So how do you conserve engineering talent?
