Preface to special issue of selected papers from the 13th International Conference Dynamical Systems - Theory and Applications (DSTA 2015)

We are pleased to present this Special Issue of the Applied Mathematical Modelling titled "DSTA 2015", which is devoted to the 13th International Conference "Dynamical Systems - Theory and Applications" (DSTA) held in Lodz, Poland, December 7-10, 2015. This conference has a long history and has been repeatedly organised by the Department of Automation, Biomechanics and Mechatronics (Lodz University of Technology) since 1992, collecting presentations and researches from areas of widely understood non-linear dynamics and mathematical modelling. The DSTA 2015 was attended by over 180 researchers from 29 countries from all over the world. During the conference, 211 works selected by the International Scientific Committee from 315 abstracts submitted to the conference were presented.
