Procedure for choosing the optimum gas-supply system for individual territories with alternative fuel-supply sources

As applied to the new economic conditions and on the basis of "redundant design schemes," the article gives a substantive statement of the problem and its structurization in the form of a set of subproblems: optimization of the fuel and energy balance of regions and territories, determination of the optimum scheme of gas flows and the zones of influence of different fuel-supply sources, and optimization of the aggregate parameters of gas- transportation systems and individual gas pipelines.
