Although its political climate is relatively stable, it's still important to evaluate the uncertainties of Latin American politics and their impact on Brazil's economic structure. Further, Brazilian President Lula, who is very favorably disposed toward business, is struggling for political survival and still has to identify a successor when his final term ends in 2011. All of this could hurt business development in the country. Also, keep a very close watch on developments elsewhere in Latin America, especially in Venezuela and Bolivia, which might affect Brazil's stability.
