In today's dynamic market, standing still means falling behind. This is especially true in supply chain and operations management, where outmaneuvering competitors can mean the difference between a streamlined operation that delivers at the right time and price-or failure. Likewise, professional associations such as APICS should do all they can to keep looking to the future and remain at the top. One of our recent accomplishments is the merger of APICS and the Supply Chain Council (SCC), which was approved by the respective boards of directors and announced in early May. We all are extremely enthusiastic about this endeavor, and I'd like to take a moment to discuss the current status and next steps surrounding this crucial event in the history of our organizations.
