Traditionally, exposure assessors in regulatory agenc- ies have focused on deterministic methods to charac- terise levels of exposure that will occur to an individ- ual or a population over time as a result of the use of a pesticide. The exposure assessment involved the use of point estimates of each variable in an exposure algorithm to determine a single point estimate of daily, seasonal or annual exposure.
