摘要

The ability of on-line water quality sensors to trigger alarms that would alert system operators to the influx of a contaminant is complex. The ability is influenced by the contaminant, the water quality parameter, the background water quality, and the method or algorithm used to analyze the water quality signal. A chapter in the USEPA report is devoted to a discussion about how the responses of water quality sensors are calculated.
