Achieving water conservation and energy efficiency with electric tankless water heaters

No data could be found in the literature regarding water conservation achieved by using electric tankless water heaters installed close to the point of use. USEPA (2005) noted in its combined retrofit report that although faucets and showers represented more than 32% of water use, only 10% of water savings was attributed to faucets and showers after retrofits. That percentage savings was mainly achieved by lowerflow faucets and showerheads.
