Our January 2009 "Education in Action" story detailed John Berth-elsen and Suttle-Straus' work with Ms. Jacqueline Wells' 5th graders at Waunakee Intermediate Community School. Berthelsen had the delightful task of returning to the classroom with copies of AMERICAN PRINTER.rn"It was a big hit," he reports. "The kids were absolutely thrilled. They were paging through the issue and talking, jumping up and down and generally going crazy. It was quite a sight "You have no idea how exciting this is," Wells adds. She's heard from a reporter in Texas who would like to implement a similar project in his community. "Roger Hamilton had a fellow church member come up to him on Sunday with a copy of the magazine in his hand and compliment [Hamilton's]photography."
