JCB's image may well have changed forever. Its Dieselmax has set not only a Bonneville speed record in the diesel category of 317.021mph but on 22 August, it took the world land speed record for diesel with 328.767mph. To be exact, the FIA International group Ⅲ, classlO supercharged diesel streamliner record, previously set at 235.756mph by Virgil Snyder in his Thermo King on 25 August 1973.
