摘要

Desulfurization technologies to remove sulfur by electrochemical oxidation or reduction of sulfur compounds in fossil fuels have drawn increasing attention in recent years since these technologies have the potential to remove sulfur at relatively low temperatures and pressures, which makes electrochemical desulfurization processes much less energy intensive and more economical than conventional technologies. In electrochemical desulfurization, there is also a degree of freedom to control product selectivity by adjusting the magnitude of the applied potential [1-5].
