Considering that CO2 is the major greenhouse gas contributingnto global warming and it will continue to increase in the foreseeablenfuture, there has been increased interest in recent years in CO2ncapture.1 Various efficient methods have been developed for thisnpurpose, including aqueous alkanolamine solutions, membranenseparation, and cryogenic fractionation.2 Recently, CO2 capture usingndry regenerable solid sorbents has been proposed as an improvedntechnique for CO2 removal due to low energy cost3,4, and as a result,nsignificant progresses have been made in synthesizing new organicnand inorganic solid CO2 sorbents. At present, our group hadndeveloped a series of highly efficient sorbents for capturingnCO2.5,6,7,8,9 Herein, we reported a new strategy for the one-potnsynthesis of mesoporous MgAl sorbent and the MgAl sorbent wasnused for CO2 capture in a fixed-bed. The parameters such as porenstructures of samples, the effect of water vapor and cyclic stabilitynwere investigated.
