Waste Plastics and Related Problems. The kinetics ofrndecomposition of waste plastics are of interest from different pointsrnof view including evolution of harmful substances during fires orrnwaste incineration, recovery of chemical raw materials from wasternplastics and design of a practical recycling procedures. Neoprene orrnpolychloroprene (-CH_2-CCl=CH-CH_2-)n that is the subject of thisrnstudy, is a member of family of synthetic rubbers that are producedrnby free-radical polymerization of 2-chlorobutadiene (CH_2=CCl-rnCH=CH_2) 1.
