Combined mode l-mode II fracture of 12-mol/100-ceria-doped tetragonal zirconia polycrystalline ceramic

摘要

The mode I, mode II, and combined mode I-mode II fracture behavior of ceria-doped tetragonal zirconia poly- crystalline (Ce-TZP) ceramic was studied. The single-edge- precradked-beam (SEPB) samples were fractured using the asymmetric four-point-bend geometry. The ratio of mode I to mode II loaing was varied by varying the degree of asymmetry in the four-point-bend geometry.
