摘要

Recently obtained test results substantiate the wear-resistance of hard, dense ceramics in axial bearings (in pumps) and in high-definition cutting blades. Interest in the development of wear-resistant ceramics and their properties continues to increase, with particular attention being paid to the wear-resistance and friction of dry sliding contacts under harsh conditions-e.g., high temperatures, contact pressures, sliding velocities and chemically aggressive environments.
