The 47th Annual International Brick Plant Operator's Forum, held during the first week in October, focused on automation in dehack-ing and unloading. Registration topped 700—equaling a Forum record of 716 established in 1999. More than 100 international visitors attended the Forum with the largest delegation being the Institute of Clay Technology "study tour" from the United Kingdom. Hans Lingl, Neu-Ulm, Germany, delivered the keynote address on "Global Perspectives for the Future of the Brick Industry."
