Alcoa is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, Electronic Stock Exchange of Switzerland, Australian Stock Exchange, and Brussels, Frankfurt and London exchanges. AWC experienced a year 2000 global revenue of almost $450 million. Alcoa's overall collective revenues were almost $23 billion. The year 2000 was strong for AWC, with total volume growth surpassing 15% in overall product lines, and on a worldwide basis. Leading markets in this growth were regional, i.e., Europe and Asia. Leading product lines included tabular alumina with a European volume growth of more than 30%; reactive aluminas and spinel also were strong. The company experienced a higher share of specialty sales, most prevalent in calcined alumina products. This was expected, because Alcoa restricted market efforts around commodity-type products to focus on specialties.
