The 5,000th AIRBUS A320 family aircraft, an A320-232 (OD-MRL, msn 5000), was delivered in January to MIDDLE EAST AIRLINES (MEA). Another 3,300 aircraft are on order, and production of the single-aisle twin-jet increases from 38 to 40 per month in the first quarter this year.
