摘要

Modern air traffic management, especially in mature markets such as Europe and North America, is currently facing a drastic need for change in order to increase capacity and safety while simultaneously reducing costs and environmental impact. As a result, overarching modernisation and harmonisation programmes such as SESAR and NextGen, initiated to develop new operational concepts and enable surveillance, are projects aimed at effectively supporting the implementation of a new ATM network, better suited to the needs of 21st century air traffic.
