Hai Eng Chiang to head up new CANSO office in Singapore

Hai Eng Chiang, formally a deputy director general and director of air traffic services at CAAS, the Civil Aviation Authority ef Singapore, is the head of CANSO's new regional office for Asia-Pacific. Based at Singapore's Aviation Academy, the office - which opened towards the end of May - will co-ordinate and assist the work of ANSPs in tackling what CANSO describes as the most pressing ATM issues in the region. Chiang said he will focus on key issues such as pushing for implementation of ADS-B over the South China Sea, a project that will be conducted together with IATA.
