The financial prospects for African airlines has improved for 2013, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which predicts that the continent's carriers will post a combined net post-tax profit of $100 million. The improved outlook is due to stronger revenues from increased passenger demand and growth in the cargo market, IATA said, with African carriers expected to experience a 6.5% growth in demand for their services and a 6.4% increase in capacity.
