With its sleek lines, elegant passenger cabin and advanced cockpit, the HX50 is one of the most eye-catching aircraft now in development. Created by Hill Helicopters, based in Rugeley, Staffordshire, this stylish-looking five-seat, 500hp turbine-powered type is scheduled to fly in summer 2022, with certification and first customer delivery a year later.Three flight-test aircraft will be built initially, followed by two more. The company aims to start ground-running prototypes either late in 2021 or early in 2022 ahead of the first flight. It believes the HX50 offers a new beginning for privately owned civil light helicopters, with style, speed, efficiency, comfort and advanced technology.
