ARCTIC TIGER 2007

Some 50 aircraft, supported by more than 600 air and groundcrew from the NATO Tiger community, deployed to 0rland Main Air Station in Central Norway between September 23 and October f, to participate in the annual NATO Tiger Meet and its official air exercise Arctic Tiger 2007. This was the first time that a full Tiger Meet had been hosted in Norway and since the participants brought a full range of capabilities, including ISTAR (intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance) and rotary wing assets, the host nation set itself an extremely challenging task in planning a comprehensive air exercise designed to maximise the training value for all.
