ILA 2008

Organised by the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI) and Messe Berlin, ILA 2008 (also known as the Berlin Air Show) was held at Schoenefeld Airport southeast of the city centre between May 27 and June 1. The event is a major showcase for the German aerospace industry, as well as international participants ranging from major equipment suppliers to ultralight manufacturers. This eclectic assortment was apparent in the flying display, with the latest designs interwoven with a pleasing number of historic aircraft and airshow acts. The 60th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift was also commemorated by several events at the show.
