RAF's First Production Hawk AJT in Final Assembly

BAE Systems announced on December 21 that the first production Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) for the Royal Air Force (RAF), ZK012 (RT003), has commenced final assembly at the company's factory at Brough, East Yorkshire. After completing ground tests, during the second quarter of 2008 it will make its first flight from Brough and then land at BAE Systems' Warton, Lancashire, facility to complete a production flight acceptance test programme, painting and customer acceptance, before delivery later this year.
